Our camera problem isn't solved, but now we're pretty sure it's the camera and not the computer, since it gave the same error on Gary's computer at work. Gary says there's some sort of thingamajig we can buy to get the pictures off the camera and onto the computer, but until we track one down you'll have to imagine what my pretty knitted things are looking like.
Last week I finished sewing the last darned bead onto the beaded baby cardi, and Saturday night I finished sewing it together. It's in need of some serious blocking, tho. I held it up to Baby G after getting completely paranoid that it would be too small (she's a skinny but tall 12 month old and I knit the 2 year old size), but it looks like it's going to be perfect---big enough to wear for at least a year.
I've completed the front, back and one sleeve of Spencer's sweater, but somehow I've managed to misplace my size five circs and can't start the next sleeve until I either find them or buy a new set. Poop.
Last night I cast off the back of the Debbie Bliss Grace cardigan and I swear angels descended from the heavens to sing the Hallelujah chorus. I started knitting the back in April or May and those cables were just killing me. The front pieces and the sleeves have cabling, but not as much as the back, so hopefully I'll finish it sometime this winter and will be able to wear it before summer comes around again.
I had a $10 gift card for Wal-Mart and no idea what to spend it on until I saw an end cap display with a free pattern for a simple Lion Brand scarf knit from one skein of Fun Fur and one skein of their boucle yarn. An online friend just moved to Wisconsin from sunny California and I'm thinking I'll knit her a scarf so she doesn't freeze this winter.
In my rush to finish up Ginger's cardigan, I've been neglecting the second Jubilee sock, but now I'm determined to complete it so I can start another pair, maybe using my new Knitpicks yarn. And soon it will be time to start on Christmas gifts. Ack!
