It's morning already? It feels like I just went to bed. I could use some coffee, but all I have is decaf, which probably wouldn't help much, and I'm not about to risk caffeinating Ginger anyway since she woke up EIGHT TIMES last night as it was. I know some babies sail through teething with few problems. Not my kids! Spencer was a horrible teether and it looks like Ginger is following in his footsteps. The worst part (other than the sleep deprivation) is feeling so helpless because nothing seems to give her relief---we've tried teething tablets and every teething toy on the market, Tylenol and Ibuprofin, frozen washcloths and refrigerated teaspoons. I think this was part of Spencer's babyhood that I temporarily forgot about. I must have, because it would be insane to voluntarily do it all again, right? ; )
When my son was teething the only thing that would soothe him was to hold him in my husband's or my lap and play the video for the Whitney Houston song "I Have Nothing." Kids!

When Lexie's teething was the worst, I let her chew on one of her training toothbrushes (the nubby ones)... it was the ONLY thing that helped when they were the worst.

Teething isn't much fun, I'm learning. When Zachary got his first two teeth he woke up every 45 minutes all night long for several nights in a row. I was dying! His second two are coming in now, and he's didn't sleep through the night for several nights, but *knock on wood* we're getting back on track as they pop on through. Sending sleep dust your way...and Ginger's as well! Hugs to you all!
