I hate having to ask this question again.
What's worked for you as far as getting rid of cat urine odor?
Despite my urging not to ("They'll pee everywhere!" I said, "Kennel them at the vet's!"), Gary shut the cats up in the sunroom during the floor refinishing and one of them peed on my new sunroom furniture and on the carpeting behind the bar. Gary's working on the cushion, but the floor stinks. The carpeting is kind of old, anyway, so he cut out the part that had the stain on it, but I'm pretty sure it's seeped into the concrete below. I'm going to go out later to get some kind of neutralizing product, but thought I'd ask here first since there are half a dozen different brands and I don't want to spend a hundred dollars trying everything on the market.
So now I have to clean up this freaking urine stain AND strangle Gary again. It's really starting to wear me out, all this strangling.
I understand that Axi-Dent works well although I haven't tried it myself.

Coming out of lurkdom to say Nature's Miracle is great stuff. It works really well.

Natures Miracle worked for us when my cat urinated in the front of the car when we were moving. I had to let it soak in and reapply once but it worked.

During this last bout with Howard's bladder stones (which meant pee everywhere. EVERYWHERE!) we picked up OUT! at Wal-Mart. There's one specifically for cat spray and urine stains and odor that seems to have worked well. It did take out the stains, too. Good luck!

We've had a problem with our cat peeing on a spot in our bedroom, even after we've cleaned and cleaned. According to my "Queen of Clean" book, the best way is to 1) thoroughly clean the area (we have a Little Green Machine which we used for that). Then 2) Saturate with an enzyme product such as Nature's Miracle and -- this is the key -- cover it with a plastic garbage bag and put something heavy over it. That way, the enzyme cleanser doesn't dry quickly and has a chance to really eat away at the stain/resiude that will cause the cat to come back. After 24-48 hours, take the plastic off, let the area dry, and do one more cleaning. Good luck! I'm hoping this does the trick for us. It's so frustrating.
